The front door of Hope Cottage opens into a small porch with a church pew bench and hooks for coats, leading to a narrow hallway with exposed brickwork and wooden doors, from which the other rooms lead off.  Concealed in a cupboard in the porch is a  washing machine.

The homely kitchen is fitted with white cupboards, wooden work surfaces, a kitchen island, and flagstone floor. Fully equipped, the kitchen has an electric Esse range cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. A leather sofa provides a comfortable place to relax with a glass of wine while dinner is cooking, and a table with seating for six is situated by the large multi-lit window.

A low-beamed sitting room is furnished with a velvet corner sofa, 55” Smart TV with surround sound, and a wood burner, and leads through to a snug which has comfy seating; a lovely place to curl up with a book, while looking out to the garden. A downstairs shower room provides a large walk-in shower cubicle, WC and basin.

Up a narrow flight of stairs, three bedrooms sleep six. The main bedroom is furnished with a double bed (4’6”) with Juliet balcony opening out to the garden, bedroom furniture and a Smart TV with surround sound. An en-suite bathroom is fitted with a bath with shower over it, basin, WC and a heated towel rail. Bedroom two also offers a double bed (4’6”), and bedroom three is furnished with twin beds (3’).

Outside, a small fully enclosed garden has been thoughtfully laid out with patio, seating for eight, a water feature and palm trees. Tasteful lighting in the garden make this a lovely place to sit out in the evening.

Hope Cottage is just 20 minutes’ walk down to the beach along country lanes and down through the dunes. A further 10 minutes’ walk takes you to Perranporth’s main beach.

Perranporth is very centrally located in Cornwall to explore the rest of the county. Truro, our cathedral city is about 8 miles away and well worth a day trip. Padstow to the north, home to Rick Steins’ Seafood Restaurant and St Ives to the west where you can visit the Tate gallery are both only 30 minutes by car as is Falmouth on the south coast where you could see anything from small yachts to cruise ships and everything in between!
